Jonas Bonnier's new novel is about the acclaimed Knutby murder in 2004. Previously, the case has been portrayed in documentaries and became a play. Now a portrayal also comes in novel form. The story follows the fictional Forsman family who move to Knutby and join the Philadelphia Assembly.

- I try to find out what has happened and then I try to write a novel that tells how it has happened in concrete terms, says Jonas Bonnier in Babel.

- What happens after dinner when the pastor goes upstairs with the baby girl? What is the wife doing down there, making some tea, watching the track? The more I read about what happened, the more strange the story became.

Must be TV series and movie

Knutby is Jonas Bonnier's ninth novel since its debut in 1988. His previous book Helicopter Robbery became an international success and will become a Netflix movie. Knutby is also to be filmed and become a television series.

- I basically believe that all stories are about good and evil, and about the passage between good and evil. Everyone in this book encounters circumstances that make them facing that passage. It is a story of how to pass from good to evil.
